I just wanted to give you a little heads up...
As Dennis Spencer speculated, at our recent house show in Georgia, I did indeed dislocate my right shoulder after taking Shelton's finisher. I basically landed with my arm stretched across my body. My body weight, his body weight, and the force that he applied in delivering the maneuver caused my shoulder to pop right out of the socket. I'm going to tell you right now, it was honestly the most painful thing that I have ever endured in my life up to this point. (Aside from watching a Great Khali promo.) I was able to get some relief in the locker room after being held down by two people while a doctor pulled, twisted, and popped it back into place. The pain immediately went from a 10 to 1, and I was so relieved that I actually started laughing.
Over the course of the past few days I have had four different MRI's in four different places...absolutely AWESOME when you're extremely claustrophobic. Yesterday, I visited an orthopedic surgeon in GB who specializes in shoulder surgeries. He did a "Great Swami" routine on me by twisting and feeling around my shoulder, and then attempted to schedule a shoulder surgery that would keep me out of action for 6 months BEFORE even looking at the MRI. I was obviously a bit skeptical and decided to get a second opinion.
Today, I traveled to the Andrews Institute in Pensacola, Florida to see Dr. James Andrews - a renowned orthopedic surgeon. I spent the day undergoing different tests, including an MRI, range of motion, etc. Dr. Andrews offered me great advice and a different approach towards rehabilitation.
Here's the deal: I have a torn labrum, which basically is a muscle in the shoulder joint that holds everything in place. I also have some damage in the rotator cuff muscles, but it's from the accumulative effects of being in the ring for ten years. I'm going to spend the next two weeks in Pensacola doing two-a-day rehab sessions. I will also be working out the other parts of my body that aren't hurt by swimming, sprinting, cycling, leg training, and eating 6 nutritious high protein meals a day. After two weeks, Doc Andrews will assess my progress and determine if I have to have surgery or not. If not, I'll have an additional 2 to 4 weeks before I can return to the ring. If surgery is required, I'll be out for 4-6 months. Obviously, I'm hoping for the first option. Regardless of the severity of my injury, I will be working as hard as I can to return to the ring and continue to do what I love. I have the unbelievable support of my wonderful wife, family, extended family within the WWE, and my loyal fan base. I ask for your continued support! As this situation unravels I will keep you updated!

Orton and Ric Flair have a confrontation, Batista comes out to stop Orton. As Orton is on the stage talking about Extreme Rules Mr. Kennedy's music hits. Kennedy stares down Orton for a while and then reaches up for his microphone. Kennedy asks Orton if he thinks this is over, he says it isn't over. Kennedy says tonight marks the return of the man who will be among many other things WWE Champion, and also that guy is also going to be the final guy in the 5-on-5 main event tonight and that man is known all around the world as Mr. KENNEDY.... Orton leaves, KENNEDY!!!
Mr. Kennedy recently attended the annual National Guard Youth ChalleNGe Champions Gala in support of the National Guard’s national Youth ChalleNGe Program. The mission of the Youth ChalleNGe Program is to intervene in and reclaim the lives of at-risk youth to produce program graduates with the values, skills, education and self-discipline necessary to succeed as adults.

After MVP's Loss againts R Truth, MVP got on the mic and scolded the fans for cheering his losing. MVP said it’s supposed to be the happiest time of the year, but at least he’s still better than the fans. Mr. Kennedy’s music interrupted him. The mic fell down to Kennedy as usual on the ramp and said he felt bad for MVP. Kennedy said he wished he could do something to put a smile on MVP’s face.

Eve Torres and Mr. Kennedy come out to announce Match of The Year. Kennedy is in a great black pinstriped suit, black shirt and gold tie. He tells Eve how beautiful she looks and has the fans tell her how great she looks. His mic comes down and he “Mr. Kennedy”’s for us, but has her do the second Kennedy! The nominees - WM24 MITBLM, 2008 RR, Taker & Edge HITC SS, WM24 HBK & flair. The winner is HBK & Flair! HBK comes out all pumped up and takes his Slammy. He says he doesn’t know where to begin. He’s been a part of many unforgettable moments and matches, but the Flair match will hold a special place in his heart. Flair’s not only a friend, but inspired him to get into wrestling. He knows Flair is watching and is serious in what he said at the end of his match, he loves Flair. JBL comes out and accepts the match and says it will go well in his penthouse in NYC. HBK looks lost and dejected. The fans are pissed.
Mr. Kennedy was backstage on Smackdown this week and, after plugging his movie, brought in Triple H and asked him about his match tonight. HHH said people want to know if he can beat Shelton Benjamin in 12:13? Watch me, he said. Then he told Edge he'd see him at Armageddon.
Lilian Garcia introduced Mr. Kennedy, making his return to Raw. He said he's got a movie coming out. He said it's called "Behind Enemy Lines: Columbia." he portrays a Navy Seal who gets caught in a sticky situation in hostile enemy territory. He shifted to talking about Survivor Series. "And I thought to myself: Self, let's get a camera crew and invade a different kind of line." He brought up that Barack Obama was elected the 44th President of the United States. The crowd mostly cheered with some boos. He said he decided to ask fans a "relevant question" - which WWE Superstar best reminds you of President-Elect Barack Obama. Shelton Benjamin. Undertaker, Batista, The Rock, Hacksaw Duggan, The Big Show, Randy Orton, Carlito, Kofi Kingston, John Cena, Primo, Cryme Tyme, Rey Mysterio, John Morrison, Batista, MVP, Shawn Michaels, and Vince McMahon (the kid who said this explained, "Because he's stubborn and they both have big ears." They put a goofy graphic on the screen of their ears growing bigger.
